Since I moved home, I became a part of something special in my parents' house: the morning ritual. It goes a little something like this...
Mama and Daddy wake up early. Daddy makes sausage and biscuit for everyone. Mama makes coffee. They sit at the kitchen table. They ponder life.
However, I think I have added a little excitement to the mix. Now Daddy has another job. He is my unofficial alarm clock. He took this job upon himself for I assure you...I did not assign it to him. He very much enjoys waking me because according to him, if he has to be awake, everyone else should be too.
In other news, Today was my friend's funeral. It was one of the most appropriate services I have ever attended. The song choices could have been no more perfect and I feel like he would have been satisfied with the way things were arranged.
Anything else exciting today?
- McDonalds coffee
-Post card from my Italian friend, Luca
- More coloring
Guess that's it.

A Long Trip for a Short Visit
Tonight was tough. He wasn't suppose to be there. My Colte wasn't suppose to be there...and I wasn't suppose to be there sharing tears with his mother as we looked at him lying there. But I was. And he was. And it was tough. Much more difficult than I expected. I'm all out of tears.
I am thankful for my friends. They are precious to me. I don't want any more of them to leave me.
Tomorrow is the funeral.
I'm ready for 2009 and all the new that it brings. New experiences. New business endeavors. New friends.
...but for now, I'll just go back to my coloring.

Tributes and Bad Fences
I'm just going to warn you...this post may be lengthy. Only because It is one of the first though.
I'm very excited about this blog and I am still trying to decide how to execute it. I don't know if I want it to be a creative blog or a personal blog or a bit of both. I do know, however, that it will be worth your time. Probably random but hey, that's what makes things exciting right? There is a real possibility that it will evolve drastically but we as humans do that so evolution in the blog is only to be expected.
So please. Enjoy the happenings and life lessons learned from the days spent as an artist in a tiny town.
Today I:
-Colored. A lot. With Colored pencils. Just as I did for the past 4 days or so.
-Found out funeral arrangements for one of the best friends I ever had who decided to take his own life. Remember his family in your prayers.
-Drank 2 cups of coffee and enjoyed every single drop.
-Cried a little.
-Laughed a little...thanks to my amazing friends who love me.
-Took a bath and was interrupted because a cow got out in my back yard. Yep. Had to get out of the tub to go chase a cow.
-Allowed my body to become sicker. My bedroom smells like cough drops. Awesome.

Post One
This is just a test. I became very unfocused without the existence of a blog so I am re-entereing the grand world of blogging. It makes me happy. I think it is healthy. I am glad to be back.
That's all for today.
